Woven on a loom with a looped or cut pile, usually in solid tones or quiet textures. The natural choice when the floor should recede and the room should speak.
DURRIE
Flatweave durrie
Woven flat with no pile at all — the pattern is the weave itself, which is why a durrie is reversible. Light, low enough to sit under a door, easy to shake out and clean.
